COVID-19 Update
Above all, your health and safety are our priority! We understand that these are challenging times for everyone. We remain dedicated to delivering the highest quality dental care in a safe environment. At Allen Dental Group, we have always taken infection control very seriously. We have always followed “universal precautions”; that is, we always treat each patient interaction with the same high level of infection control. But we have added a few things during COVID to protect our staff to each of you as patients.


Here’s what we’re doing:

  • Following closely the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and American Dental Association (ADA) COVID recommendations
  • Temperature checks for all staff and patients upon entering the practice
  • COVID pre-screening of all patients prior to the appointment
  • Universal mask use by all staff
  • Use of N95 masks with a surgical over-mask during all aerosol generating procedures
  • Use of proper eye protection during all procedures
  • Minimizing aerosol generating procedures whenever possible
  • Using high volume evacuation for all aerosol generating procedures, including in hygiene
  • Social distancing among staff when not in direct patient care
  • Strict hand and glove hygiene
  • Strict treatment room cleaning and sterilization after each patient encounter
  • Strict instrument cleaning and sterilization protocol
  • Routine “touched surfaces” wipe down throughout the day, including the waiting room and admin areas
  • All staff have been encouraged to receive their vaccinations as soon as available

What were asking of you, our patients:

  • Stay home if you’re sick or have been in contact with any with COVID positive patients (please give us as much advanced notice so we can attempt to fill your spot)
  • Please limit the number of people at the appointment whenever possible
  • Mask use is mandatory at all times when not in direct dental care
  • Practice social distancing in the waiting room
  • Follow the State of Alaska testing mandates if traveling outside the state of Alaska:
